Maps Says Server Error. Try Again Later

Cannot search in Google Maps -- error message states "Server mistake. Please effort again afterward."

Entering a place name in the Google Maps search box, like "Detroit" or "Uruguay" (for example) ever results in the stated error message. Fairly contempo laptop using Windows 10.

Entering a place proper name in the Google Maps search box, like "Detroit" or "Uruguay" (for example) always results in the stated mistake message. Adequately recent laptop using Windows 10.

This was happening to someone else likewise, who had several complaints.

The brusk of it is: A server error is happening on the server end (in this case, Google Maps servers), and so at that place is not much 1 can do about that only wait.

It seems like Maps has been introducing new "features", so it may only be some things break a scrap while they are working on it, randomly, for unlike people, depending on what part of Google's network 1 hits.

I have non gotten a server error notwithstanding, only boy are the text boxes laggy, also as random other bits of the page, on random occasions, like dragging the map or changing view.

It doesn't happen in Edge, so I gauge Microsoft is trying to bully me into using their product. Thanks anyway.

Cheers, cor-el. I tried these to the all-time of my limited calculator abilities, but the problem persists. I actually don't want to waste more time on it. BTW, the problem doesn't occur on my erstwhile Windows 7 desktop machine.
